Fleda Brown’s 'The Woods Are On Fire' presents nearly fifty new poems, along with republished poems drawn from her seven previous books, to showcase an influential American poet’s work over the last few decades. 'It Shouldn’t Have Been Beautiful' is Lia Purpura’s fourth collection, in which exquisitely rendered poems reach back to an early affinity for proverbs and riddles and the proto-poetry found in those forms.
